In college, Juni studied the Bible most Indonesians use today, first published in 1974. The language was often confusing to her Bible study group. “If we were not sure what the Indonesian Bible meant, we checked with the English version,” Juni explains. “When I remember that moment, I feel really strange. How come we thought the English version was easier to understand than our own Indonesian translation?”
Today Juni is part of the team working on Biblica’s Indonesian Contemporary Version so more young people can clearly understand the message of salvation. But with persecution of Christians on the rise in Indonesia, she needs to know you and I are standing with her.
