Peter, pastors, and parents long for those they love to be transformed into a Christlike life. We all do. We want it for ourselves.
The Second Letter of Peter taps the keys of transformation from beginning to end. The origin of Christian transformation is the work of God in Jesus Christ, so Peter's opening to his letter, like most letters in the early church, frames redemption as a transforming power available to each of us.
Renowned New Testament scholar Scot McKnight guides us through the major themes of 2 Peter, with questions for study and application. | |

Christmas can be a very painful time of year for a prisoner's child. They might see other families celebrating together and miss their mom or dad even more than usual. They might even wonder if their mom or dad in prison still thinks about them. This is why we are excited to share Prison Fellowship Angel Tree with you. Angel Tree exists to reconnect families, deliver Christmas gifts, and share the Good News of the Savior's birth with families shattered by crime. With Christmas just a month away, would you consider giving to bless a prisoner's child with an Angel Tree Christmas? |

November 19 — Tony Campolo, a leader of the "red letter Christian" movement that emphasized Jesus's spoken teachings in the Bible, died at the age of 89. Over the course of his 50+ year career, Campolo published dozens of books, often courting controversy for speaking out against hypocrisy in the church. Yet he stridently urged Christians to remain in church, even if they were disappointed in its evangelical witness. (Christianity Today) |

These texts were later corrected to add in Martha by changing a single letter in the second Mary's name (Mar[i]a to Mar[th]a), and changing verbs from singular to plural.
