Have you ever felt next to nothing in your faith? It's not uncommon to feel despair and resignation in your relationship with God. The book of Psalms especially records emotions of God's people feeling abandoned, left alone by God, full of restless anxiety.
When that happens, the Holy Spirit is where we go for help. Very simply, what we want and need is personal, relational comfort from God — and the Holy Spirit is the Comforter.
Specifically, we need to meet the Holy Spirit in the Bible. |

Therefore, if the holy love, power, and presence of God are dwelling within God's chosen people, God's royal priesthood, God's holy nation, God's special possession (1Pt 2:9), it means at least two things:
1. We have been granted extraordinary authority; and
2. We possess enormous responsibility. |
